I highly recommend the PR3s. I commute daily for 50 miles round trip in all types of weather conditions. The tires provide great traction. I am particularly impressed with the mileage. I ride conservatively and solo on mainly interstate highways keeping tires inflated to 42 psi rear and 36 psi front. I was able to get 16,385 miles on the front tire and plan to replace the rear next month with around 33K miles on it. Thanks to Michelin for such a great tire.

I was very pleased with performance of the PR2s. I was able to go 20,302 miles on the front tire and 30,105 miles on the rear tire. I ride conservatively, solo, mainly interstate highways, keeping tires inflated to 36 psi front and 42 psi rear and commute daily 50 miles in all types of conditions. The PR2s handled great on the RT and provided terrific traction.

Soon after my Vstrom arrived a few handle bars were tried as the OE bars seemed stolen from a HD Sportster. A real set of Norton bars fixed that and still gave hand guard clearance. The OE windshield liked to gather water and spit it back on me. Wound up cutting off the top flip-up and found it fine then. Much research with suspension resulted in magic handling. By then any off-road pretenses were discarded, along with OE pipes, etc. My first set of Pilot Roads went on followed by thousands of miles of back road traveling. A track day pace was possible with this set up. Curvy bits could now be ripped up like a TZ250. Well nearly. We get big distances from tires here due to cool roads and nit-picking pressures. I think I got 12 thou from the Pilots and 14 from the Pilot 2s. Did you get that Vstroms are light as well? No doubt not carting 600 pounds of steel all over helped a lot. Sure was fun watching all the superbikes cranked over, while considering passing most of them. Didn`t want to spoil their big moments, or partake in the clip-on and no leg room issues. Thank you Michelin. Couldn`t imagine better tires.
