I have had no issues with the Anakee III, would buy them again.
Drove my bike from Ontario to the BMW Rally in Utah Salt Lake City and they handled great on and off road.

I’m one of fellow reviewer Twayscyc’s customers and installed the Anakee IIIs on my Super Tenere based upon his recommendation and my own experience with the original Anakees I ran on my former 2002 DL1000. I’ve owned everything from a CBR250R to dual sports, sport bikes, Gold Wings and cruisers and I have never gotten the mileage out of a set of tires as I have the Anakee IIIs! They stick, handle great and are by a margin the longest lasting tires I’ve ever run (in well over 300,000 + miles of riding). The Super Tenere is a heavy bike on relatively narrow tires. Doesn’t matter. I can rail the curves like I was on a true sport bike, dragging a peg now and again without fear. Sure, they aren’t sand or mud tires. The Anakee Wilds cover that. The Anakees do a nice job on unpaved roads just fine, though.
Would I buy another set? Heck yeah!

This is my 2nd Super Tenere’ and I have sampled several brand tires on the two. When Michelin offered the Anakee IIIs I had to try them out. I ride quite a lot (15,000 miles in 15 months) about 80% highway & 20% dirt/gravel roads and these tires are nothing short of amazing. Wet/ dry, on the street they are like Pilot Road 3s in terms of grip & handling. In dry dirt they work way better than they should! I am a Yamaha Dealer of 30 years and a Michelin Performance Tire Center also for well over 20 years so I can say I have several customers who have had the same results out of their Anakee IIIs.

tnt-f700gsI have over 9,000 miles on my Anakee 3’s and still going good. This has been a very good all around tire for my bike. Also good very good in the rain.

After 22,600 miles, I just put on my second set of Anakee 3’s. These tires are easily the most confidence inspiring, capable adventure tire that I have ever experienced. You’d think that with high mileage capability there would be a sacrifice in traction to provide the exceptional treadwear lifetime. Wrong. These tires were glued to the road (concrete, blacktop, decades old neglected concrete, dirt, gravel, etc.) at all times, regardless of weather conditions. I often found myself doing better in dirt than others with similar bikes mounted with knobbies. I don’t know how they manged to design such a capable tire with seemingly minimal tread design, but they’ve done so admirably. I will say with out question that I will never own another adventure bike that does not have Anakee 3’s mounted. For the 80% paved/20% unpaved adventure riders, this tire is what you’ve been looking for. An absolute must.
